WHAT IS BIOENERGETIC ANALYSIS:
Bioenergetic Analysis, often called bioenergetic therapy or simply bioenergetics, is a form of mind/body psychotherapy, founded by Alexander Lowen M.D., that examines personality in terms of the body and its energetic processes. Respiration and metabolism energize our bodies. Movement and the production of sound are the ways in which we discharge energy. How much energy we have and how we utilize it determines our capacity to respond to life situations. The more we are able to utilize our energy, the more fully we experience and express ourselves. This will bring us a greater sense of well-being, and we will experience the full joy and pleasure of living. Thus, the goal of bioenergetic therapy is to bring about the healthy integration of mind and body so that we can utilize our energy to discover that greater pleasure and joy in living. WHAT IS THE INTENSIVE THERAPY PROGRAM: A program containing 4 separate weekends, each with its own theme, and pair of facilitators. The group will have 8 coed participants willing to explore and expand on their own level of groundedness. Each participant will be required to have had at least 6 months of bioenergetic therapy, and must agree to continue to have a minimum of 4 individual bioenergetic therapy sessions, in between, each weekend of the intensive therapy program. During each weekend a theme will be used to help allow the participants to deepen their understanding of their own character style, energetic blocks and defensive reactions. The hope is that a stronger level of trust and support will be created within the group which will superimpose into a stronger level of trust and support to grow within each participant. During the weekends each participant can expect group work, as well as, individual work for several of the participants. Each participant can expect a safety net of communication in between the team of facilitators. WHAT IS MY COMMITMENT: Time: You are expected to attend each weekend ~ we are offering a set of four weekends upfront ~ we as a team will do our best to accommodate any conflicts upfront but after any primary adjustments are made the dates will then be final. Financial: The fee for the program is $250.00 per weekend. You are expected to pay this fee regardless of attendance. Emotional: This will be a challenging experience for each participant. We are aware of the toll it may take on yourself - care during this time is VITAL.
